Ballet Gala 2024

We are excited for our 2024 annual fundraising ballet gala! Each year, with the help of ballet dancer and choreographer, Ruth Gordon-Jaeggi, the Swiss Church in London puts together a Ballet Gala and fundraising event to help support our Arts Programme. This event not only allows us to share a glimpse into our annual Arts Programme but also helps us support our emerging and mid-career artists and exhibition programme.
We hope you can join us for an evening of dance and music in September.

Exploring visual music and sonic and digital arts from 19 to 29 September 2024, Sonica Glasgow 2024 invites Swiss artists Lukas Truniger and Marie Delprat to present their works at this year’s biennial festival, with the support of the Swiss Cultural Fund UK. Truniger’s installation Distributive Intelligence illustrates the ways in which behaviours change across groups, and how the smallest actions can snowball into seismic trends. With the live show Ethereal Realms - All Fiction is Metaphor, Marie Delprat investigates female performance in a post-human world, inspired by sci-fi writer Ursula K. Le Guin. More information |

Unione Ticinese (UT), a historic Swiss society in London marking its 150th anniversary, has comissioned a new play (see Swiss Review Regional edition 2/2024).
Performances and matinees from the 30th of October to 1st November at the Cockpit Theatre.
Written, produced, and performed by Swiss Italian artists based in London and Ticino, the production explores emigration and womanhood themes, fostering connections between Swiss and international communities.
Selected from 11 submissions in an open call competition, ‘Valchera’s’ by Lea Ferrari (Ticino) won the commission.

As is the custom, we shall remember the events of that fateful night in December 1602, when the citizens of Geneva bravely repelled an attack by the Duke of Savoy.
