Each candidate has been vetted for eligibility by the Swiss Embassy London.
FOSSUK has accepted to take part in the pilot project of the Organisation of the Swiss Abroad (OSA) to hold direct elections of all five UK delegates to the Council of the Swiss Abroad (CSA). Read more about how the elections of CSA Delegates work here >
Voting will open on the 12th of April and will be closed at midnight 11th of May 2025.
Those wishing to vote for the CSA Delegates in the United Kingdom will need to be registered with the local representation before Friday, 31st January 2025.
Eligible voters will be sent an email with instructions on how to vote online by the FDFA (Federal Department of Foreign Affairs) when the voting polls open on Friday, 11th April 2025.
All votes are confidential. Personal information is only used by the necessary authorities to verify the eligibility of each vote received. Any Swiss citizen aged 18 or over is entitled to vote, provided they are registered with the Swiss Embassy – and, crucially, registered under a valid e-mail address. The invitation to vote will be sent by e-mail directly.
The elected candidates are ratified at the FOSSUK AGM in June 2025 which will take at the Swiss Embassy.

A story of ascents and glaciers

Join us on Saturday 26 April, for a scenic hike through the beautiful Surrey Hills – one of the most picturesque areas of the North Downs. Expect stunning views, lush woodlands and great company. This hike is suitable for relatively fit individuals due to the distance and elevation.
Day Trip: Surrey Hills Hike | Saturday 26 April 2025, 08.30–17.30
The Plan:
- Departure: Meet at London Victoria in time for the 08.41 train, arriving at Holmwood at 09.47.
- Hiking: We’ll embark on a 16 km hike (with 420m of ascent) through forest, moorland and commons. The route is mostly off-road and offers beautiful scenery throughout.
- Lunch Stop: Bring a picnic as we’ll pause for lunch at the top of Leith Hill, the highest viewpoint in the South East (294m).
- Optional Pub Stop: If the group is keen, we’ll stop for a drink at a charming old pub towards the end of the hike.
- Return: The train station is a couple of easy kilometres from the pub, where we’ll catch the train home.
What to Bring:
- Comfortable walking/hiking shoes
- Weather-appropriate clothing
- Water and snacks
- Picnic lunch
- Sunscreen and a hat (weather dependent)

His long-standing dream of putting The Köln Concert recording to movement has become reality while he pairs Jarrett’s playing with four bittersweet songs by Joni Mitchell.

The Swiss Stammtisch is a regular event where Swiss people in and around Edinburgh together informally for a drink and discussions on topics that are of interest, including living abroad, politics and culture.
The Stammtisch currently takes place every first Wednesday of the month at Le Di-Vin Wine Bar. For the latest information on the Stammtisch, please visit our Facebook page.
All are invited to attend, you don't have to be a member of the Swiss Club Edinburgh to join the Stammtisch.

Alberto Giacometti is known for his distinctive, elongated sculptures which experiment with the human form. Three groundbreaking exhibitions position historic sculptures by Giacometti with new works by contemporary artists. Organised in collaboration with the Fondation Giacometti, this year-long series entitled ‘Encounters’ launches in May with works by Huma Bhabha, followed by Mona Hatoum in September and Lynda Benglis in February 2026.
