Statement from the Swiss Embassy London

Information for Swiss nationals in the UK

Latest update: July 2016

As you may already be aware, the result of the UK referendum announced this morning was a vote in favour of the UK leaving the European Union (EU).

Whilst it is uncertain how exactly the coming days, weeks and months will unfold, we have put together some information at the link below that should answer any questions you may have at this time. If you do have further queries, you can reach the EDA helpline at any time on (+41) 800 24-7-365. If you have specific questions for the Embassy on the matter, you can contact us on 020 7616 6080.

It is important to note that the UK will continue to be a member of the EU for the foreseeable future. The UK and the EU will now negotiate an exit agreement which may take some time, and only when that agreement enters into force will the UK’s membership of the EU terminate.

We will remain in contact with you if there are any developments which might be of relevance to your status as a Swiss citizen in the UK.

Ambassador
