For the London Design Festival 2025, Tenderbooks invites designer Livia Lauber to present a new collection inspired by the book object. Livia Lauber designs products, furniture and spaces that craft familiar yet unconventional narratives.
Livia Lauber, Objects & Stories, Tenderbooks, 6 Cecil Court, London WC2N 4HE
10 – 30 September 2025. Opening preview: Wednesday 10 September, 6.00 – 8.00 pm
PAPER LIGHTS is a new collection inspired by the world of reading. These lights reference familiar gestures and forms - such as carrying a newspaper under the arm or the shape and feel of a well-used book. With proportions, textures and materials reminiscent of paper and cardboard, these lights explore both direct and indirect illumination.
During the London Design Festival, visitors to Tenderbooks will be able to discover this new collection of light objects alongside Livia Lauber’s BOCKSHELF and a selection of her latest design pieces. BOCKSHELF is a compact custom bookshelf originally created by Lauber to store her favourite reference books. Equipped with castors, the shelf can be easily moved around a studio space. At Tenderbooks the BOCKSHELF will be arranged with Lauber’s curated selection of design titles. Placement of SOLO stools will encourage visitors to browse the titles with the opportunity to sit and read comfortably. The installation will be accompanied by an editorial project, created in collaboration with Studio Ardworks.

The Hellenic Centre presents the UK première of RUSH(ES), a compelling new solo performance by renowned Greek-Swiss visual artist and choreographer Alexandra Bachzetsis. Conceived as an introspective journey, RUSH(ES) confronts behavioural taboos and interrogates the commodification of desire — constructed and deconstructed through the moving body.
Alexandra Bachzetsis, RUSH(ES), The Hellenic Centre, London W1U 5AS, 16 and 17 October 2025.
The piece is characterised by rapid transformations that push the body to its limits, reflecting pleasure, joy, solitude and anxiety through the intense physicality of the performer. In the process of corporeal metamorphosis, Bachzetsis navigates her body so that it ceases to be human and morphs into something else – an animal, an object, a tool.
Blending autofiction and auto–documentation, RUSH(ES) invites both performer and audience into a heightened state of awareness and transformation.
