NSH Sunday Roast & Walk through Hampstead Heath

Date: Sunday 16 November 2025

Time: 13.00 followed by optional walk through Hampstead Heath

Location: The Spaniards Inn, Spaniards Road, Hampstead, NW3 7JJ

Deadline to register: End of day, Sunday 9 November

Steeped in history, The Spaniards Inn is one of London’s oldest pubs, dating back to 1585. Once a tollgate between Hampstead and Finchley, it has welcomed poets, writers, and travellers for centuries — including Dickens and Byron. Keats is said to have composed Ode to a Nightingale in its gardens, while Bram Stoker drew on one of the pub’s ghost stories when writing Dracula. With its creaking beams, open fires, and tales of resident spirits, it offers a truly characterful setting for a Sunday gathering.

Each roast is served with a Yorkshire pudding, thyme-roasted potatoes, buttered Savoy cabbage, leeks, and roasted root vegetables. Please select your menu choice when signing up.
