Sunday Service with Refreshments
Swiss Church London
79 Endell Street, London WC2H 9DY

The Swiss Church in London is going to have a visit from a journalist for an interview and visit on Sunday 20th July.

This will be for an article in the Schweizer Illustrierte!
I’m sure most of you know how big a publication this is in Switzerland, and it’s hugely exciting for us in terms of visibility and all things related to the fundraising challenges that we currently face.

My ask to those of you in London from our amazing community:
If you can join us at our service at 11am on Sunday 20th July - this will of course be an opportunity to enjoy the service and music - did you know what an accomplished pianist and vocalist Manuel is - but also to swell the congregation

Any queries, contact Manuel minister@swisschurchlondon.org.uk

The service on the first Sunday of the month includes communion. Everyone is invited to receive communion. We are also accompanied by our choir at the service on the first Sunday. People of all denominations, faith groups or none, firm believers as well as the critical minded and spiritual seekers are welcome.

Sermons are preached in English.

Our Minister, Reverend Manuel Zimmermann Grey makes use of the Lectionary (list of bible readings) of the Evangelisch-reformierte Kirche Schweiz to choose the Sunday bible readings and the theme for her sermon. Prayers, hymns and other parts of the liturgy may be in French and German.

Music is an integral part of our services and is used to enhance and uplift the spiritual themes of the services. We sing a range of music-including traditional and some modern hymns. All hymns are printed in our Order of Service Booklet. German hymns are normally taken from the Gesangbuch Der Evangelisch-reformierten Kirchen der deutschsprachigen Schweiz. French hymns are taken from Psaumes et Cantiques- hymn book of the Protestant Church in Canton Lausanne.

Music is mainly lead on the church’s Swiss-built Späth organ played by our Director of Music, Peter Yardley-Jones. Sometimes we will use our Steinway piano.
